I was one of the first to buy XSitePro website design software a couple of years ago. It was okay, and I used it regularly. Then, they released Version 2. It was night and day – an amazing upgrade that made creating websites so simple I laughed when I created my first one (ChildCares.com).
XSitePro2 is different than other WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editors, like Dreamweaver or Expression Web, for several reasons:
- XSitePro includes hundreds of beautiful, targeted templates from single page sales templates to graphics-rich multi-page sites.
- It’s so easy to use, I created a basic website in the video below in a little over 5 minutes. Adding content might take it to an hour, total.
- XSitePro has simple buttons for adding affiliate links and banners, Google Adsense code, PayPal Buy Now buttons, video, audio, Widgets like photo galleries and banner rotators, social network links, RSS feeds, forms, site search and more.
- It has a Multi-Page Creation Wizard you can use to create dozens of pages in a matter of minutes, ready to be customized with separate content.
- You can easily create a breadcrumb trail, links page, search engine sitemaps, popups, optimized SEO, and more with simple buttons and wizards.
- It maintains a backup of your site so you can restore it if something goes wrong, like your host going out of business.
- XSitePro even has a Mobile Site Wizard that reformats your site to work with mobile phones. This alone is worth the purchase price.
In other words, XSitePro is designed to help you get a profitable website up fast, regardless of your skill level.
Reading what I just wrote, this sounds more like a sales pitch than a review. So, I’ll mention some down sides. For expert designers, it’s too basic unless you’re wanting quick sites that don’t have to be completely original (like me). Sometimes the layout breaks if your content is too wide and it takes some tweaking to make it work right. And the company comes off as a “get rich quick” company too often, which is a shame because their product is more mainstream and valuable than it looks.
I created a video overview that shows me creating a site from scratch to published in about 5 minutes. It’s a large file so will take a couple minutes to load, but worth watching if you’re considering XSitePro. Click the screen shot:
If you want to put together websites fast, that look professional, that integrate profit-making features, and are easy to maintain, there is no better place you can invest $197 than in XSitePro.

Thought I would mention http://wpremix.com/ now in version 3.0. Similar functionality but for creating wordpress blogs. And the free xhtml/css templates http://www.templateworld.com/free_templates.html are pretty good
Awesome! I’ll definitely check that out. They should hire me to do their tutorials…
